Although some would disagree, sex movies don’t need to dive straight into nudity. Instead, films like 'Serviced’ provide audiences with a humanizing look at body and sex workers while 'Into’ illuminates power dynamics and pain within the kink community.
Other great movies with sexual content are Blockers and Easy A. Both address how some high schoolers may misperceive what constitutes „sex”.
1. Bill & Alice
Bill & Alice offers an uncompromisingly feminine view of male dominance, making for a compelling film experience. Mary Nighy – daughter of Bill Nighy himself and new feature director herself – makes her feature directorial debut here with this film that explores sexual fantasies and dreams, driven by Alice who forces Bill to acknowledge society’s deeper perceptions about female identity – played beautifully by Anna Kendrick who can then emasculate him through these revelations.
This film centers around Bill and Alice Hartford, an upper class New York couple. Their marriage is tested when she reveals she has sexual fantasies for another man; Bill leaves her alone in their apartment before beginning an unpredictable journey through New York City streets that tests both his relationship with Alice as well as himself; it ultimately culminates with both of them coming to terms with their feelings for each other at the conclusion of the film.
Many scenes in the film are illuminated with blue lighting, which has long been associated with deceit and sexual desire, creating the feel of an intense dream world. The repetitive and nightmarish narrative, along with its surreal blue illumination creates an air of unreality which only heightens its sexually charged atmosphere further.
One of the primary themes explored in the film is the commercialisation of women’s bodies, specifically illustrated through several prostitute characters like Domino, whom Bill encounters while trying to seduce Alice with an idea of cheating, and Mandy hired by Ziegler for both his party and orgy – each seen as commodities to be bought and sold by those in power.
Though the film may feel outdated at times, its message remains relevant and its dreamlike style allows for some memorable and sensual sex scenes. Unfortunately, Bill’s complicity in the system wasn’t challenged as strongly due to his attitude toward money and power of the rich – making this movie both poignant and sensuous.
2. Strippers
Strippers seem to pop up in the news more often than they should. Many are downtrodden and in abusive relationships; others can have good hearts; it is truly amazing that movie producers make any money off these women in high boots and fishnet stockings!
Strippers is an offbeat horror comedy film with little plot and insufficient werewolf effects that provides little pleasure for its target audience. Written and directed by Jonathan Glendening (Night Wolf), Strippers offers little of interest.
Strippers is still highly entertaining despite its lack of horror or plot, thanks to its campy tone, excellent soundtrack, and fantastic performances from its cast of busty actors. Masters of Sex star Annaleigh Ashford plays Irene while Andrew Rannells from Girls plays Jeremy; Yellowjackets star Quentin Plair plays Otis while The White Lotus Emmy-winner Murray Bartlett (nick). Additionally notable faces like former porn queen Jenna Jameson portrays Zoe while Darren McGavin plays goofy inventor while Robert Englund plays a sex club boss (Robert Englund).
Are you in the mood for an entertaining horror flick with lots of hot women? Look no further. Although this film takes itself far too seriously to qualify as Oscar worthy, it still provides plenty of comedic relief and may even have you laughing out loud several times!
3. Murphy’s Law
Milo Murphy follows the golden rule of magic: Nine out of every 10 things that can go wrong during a performance usually do. Applying this logic to his life, Milo makes relationships with Paul, Rees, Ellie and even Callard that may or may not reflect reality as much as possible. James Nesbitt shines as Milo in James Nesbitt as Mr. Povenmire while voice actors such as Darren Marsh (Mr. Povenmire) and Balthazar Cavendish (Milo) provide depth to their characters’ personae. Finally, DVD set includes all six episodes with 16:9 enhanced widescreen transfer and Dolby Stereo audio and optional SDH English subtitles!
4. Step Brothers
Step Brothers by Adam McKay remains an indelible cult classic and Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly’s uncanny portrayal as immature adult brothers forced to live together when their parents marry is still an irreverent delight that will have you laughing long after it ends. Their bickering and juvenile pouting will have you rolling in laughter long after watching this irreverent romp!
Nudie magazines, dog poop jokes and words such as „mangina” may not qualify as high art, but this movie was not trying to be that either. Had it simply been an SNL-esque collection of sketches I would happily recommend it.
Step Brothers surprised me, even though its comedy may not appeal to everyone. If you haven’t experienced its magic yet, I strongly encourage you to do so soon! DVD and Blu-ray copies can be found at most stores; streaming services include HBO Max, Amazon Channels YouTube Vudu Google Play Movies Microsoft Store as well as Redbox or Directv for rental if that suits better; Netflix/Hulu offers rental service too if that suits better!
