Top 5 Porn Movies of 2009

porn movies

Pornography has long been seen as a genre that explores and exploits straight men’s sexual fantasies for entertainment purposes.

Porn films have earned themselves the moniker „blue movies” due to video stores selling them in blue packs.

Eyes of Desire

Candida Royalle’s Eyes of Desire is one of her finest films, featuring a gorgeous woman at the center of erotic fantasies. A film with voyeuristic overtones similar to Hitchcock’s classic Rear Window, its protagonist rents a house and watches another couple from across their telescope having an intimate moment, becoming aroused at what she sees and discovering new parts of herself in this senseless movie.

This film is targeted primarily towards women but that does not preclude men from enjoying it as well. The sexual scenes aren’t too explicit but plenty of foreplay and there are numerous scenes involving cunnilingus stimulation and clitoral stimulation as well.

This film boasts not only sensuous scenes, but an engaging story with lots of suspense as well. Notably, Luczak brings in multiple viewpoints when opening the book: his non-aggression in including such volatile pieces written by Lanetra Williams might have better been received by an unfamiliar audience.

Compulsion

As its title indicates, this film follows a man enthralled with pornographic material who becomes compulsively drawn to it. While most porn movies present an erotic fantasy worldview, this one offers psychological depth that takes viewers places they won’t get from hard gonzo films.

At the core of this movie lies Valerie Voon’s research at Cambridge University Neuropsychiatrist Valerie Voon and her team used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology to compare brain activity triggered by pornography exposure among men with compulsive sexual behavior disorder and healthy control subjects diagnosed with compulsive sexual behavior disorder.

Researchers found that brain networks triggered by pornography in CSB patients were also activated in healthy controls, suggesting these areas aren’t responsible for their compulsive use of porn. To prove that one specific brain network triggered by pornography was causal for CSB they’d need to alter activity within it using electrical stimulation or pharmacology and measure whether consumption reduced or disappeared altogether.

Some experts suggest that instead of classifying porn consumption as an addiction, it should instead be seen as a form of compulsive viewing. In this way, people with this compulsion could benefit from behavioral therapy that teaches them how to avoid triggers, recognize urges early and address any concerns that lie beneath this form of entertainment consumption.

Debbie Does Dallas

Two iconic 1980s events influenced millions of teenagers around the globe: Dallas, a TV series about pistol-packing oil tycoons with oversize personalities and bigger hats; and Debbie Does Dallas, an adult movie featuring small-town girl Bambi Woods trying to join a professional cheerleading squad. Both proved immensely popular but neither managed to outlive its predecessor; V.C.X raised doubts over Arrow’s claim of Deep Throat on BitTorrent as an evidence for such litigation; V.CX threatened legal action against anyone sharing Deep Throat;

That is unfortunate as this teen erotica contains plenty of charm, particularly with Sunrise Adams playing the title role and Sherie Rene Scott as one of her small-town cheer squad teammates. Although its plot may be predictable, viewers easily become invested in these girls as they attempt to outwit jealous wannabes and stay ahead of rivals who wish for power over them. A scene in which Adams blows Cannon on a merry-go-round is filled with emotion; an unforgettable three-way between Adams, Olivia Del Rio and Del Rio should also not be missed!

As with other recent porn movies, Debbie Does Dallas does not depict the exploitation industry as a nightmarish maze of sexual abuse and exploitation. Though Debbie Does Dallas may not qualify as great art, its charm makes it worth watching; you may leave with at least one laugh after viewing – something its producers intended for you to experience!

Manhunters

Manhunters is an action-packed bounty hunter movie featuring nine intense sexual scenes and heart-pounding action sequences, directed by Brad Armstrong. With Jada Fire, Sandra Romain, Brian Surewood and Tommy Gunn as leads in an ensemble cast this movie is not to be missed!

Manhunters is an extraordinary film for any fan of either Michael Mann’s directorship or its subject matter; while its nihilistic tone may alienate some, and Michael Mann’s penchant for beautiful shots may make some quiet early sequences appear comical; nonetheless, for any one interested in either, Manhunters remains hard to beat. At a time when serial killers were commonplace and psychopaths one-dimensional caricatures, Manhunters allows its viewer some insight (if not sympathy) into an unstable mind – an unparalleled achievement among modern movies!

Kirsten Price, Carmen Hart, Exotica and Drake all deliver impressive performances that elevate Manhunters into an enjoyable B-movie in every sense of the term. Drake adds depth to what could otherwise be mundane material through his comedic narration.

The Good Girl

Paul Verhoeven’s Showgirls, Janicza Bravo’s Zola and Tsai Ming-liang’s The Wayward Cloud have given audiences over-exaggerated depictions of the sex industry; so it was refreshing to witness director Ninja Thyberg take an honest approach to fetish genre. Her film draws upon her personal experience living in a model house and working regularly on porn sets; therefore its film remains true-to-life without resorting to sensationalism.

The Good Girl follows Bella, an ambitious young woman seeking to break into adult film to fulfill her sexual fantasies. However, her stunning good looks cause her to struggle acting on them because of a sense of duty or „good girl-ness”. However, as Bella learns first-hand, being an actress can be challenging but also more so due to having no support network in place.

While mainstream pornography often depicts consensual, joyful sex in an unrealistic light, ethically made porn films are increasingly making waves in adult film festivals and on sites like PinkLabelTV. These independent studios use stricter production policies such as STI testing, standard contracts with fair pay for actors, scripts that take an actress’ boundaries into consideration and scripts with more diverse body types, sexual desires and gender representation than standard sites offer.
